Regular Season Round 33: La Rochelle - CFBB 81-67

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-29) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 81-67 loss to eighth ranked La Rochelle (17-12) in La Rochelle. The game was mostly controlled by La Rochelle. CFBB was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. La Rochelle dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 36. It was a good game for American forward Jarryd Cole (204-88, college: Iowa) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Faycal Sahraoui (188-79) contributed with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. La Rochelle's coach Gregory Thielin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Damien Inglis (203-95) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Paul Rigot (201-95) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for CFBB. La Rochelle moved-up to seventh place. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. La Rochelle will play against Vendee Challans (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play against JA Vichy and hopes to get finally their first victory.
