Regular Season Round 29: Boulazac - Limoges 85-73

There was a minor upset when 13th ranked Limoges CSP Elite (12-17) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Boulazac Basket (10-19) 85-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Boulazac Basket. Limoges CSP Elite was better in third quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Alex Acker (196-83, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. Power forward Trent Plaisted (211-86, college: BYU, agency: Priority Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Boulazac Basket and five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Limoges CSP Elite's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket maintains fifteenth place with 10-19 record. Limoges CSP Elite at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Boulazac Basket will face higher ranked STB Le Havre (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
