Seventh-ranked Osaka Evessa (22-29) gave a tough game to first ranked Okinawa GK (41-10). The visitors from Okinawa managed to secure only one-point victory 58-57. However their fans expected much easier game. It was an exceptional evening for American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. British power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, college: Bellarmine) accounted for 13 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Dwayne Lathan (190-89, college: Indiana St.) came up with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) added 4 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Osaka Evessa in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Okinawa GK. They maintain first place with 41-10 record. Osaka Evessa lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 29 games lost. Okinawa GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osaka Evessa will play again at home against the league's leader Okinawa GK (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
