Regular Season Round 55: Fukuoka Rizing - Iwate Big Bulls 61-82

The most shocking disappointment of round 55 was a home defeat of their biggest opponent Fukuoka Rizing (33-18) by third ranked Iwate Big Bulls (34-17) who outscored them by 21 points 82-61 in the game for the second place. It ended the two-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American power forward Reggie Okosa (208-80, college: La Salle) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Iwate Big Bulls have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Toyama Grouses and Yokohama BC. Fukuoka Rizing at the other side keeps the second position with 18 games lost. They share it with Shimane SM. Iwate Big Bulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Iwate Big Bulls and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
