The game in Nagano was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Toyama Grouses (35-17) played at the court of 8th ranked Shinshu BW (17-35). Toyama Grouses defeated Shinshu BW 91-76 on Sunday. Toyama Grouses looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Masashi Joho (183-82) who scored 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. American forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga, agency: SDJ Sports) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) added 18 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) respectively for the hosts. Five Toyama Grouses and four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyama Grouses have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Yokohama BC. Loser Shinshu BW dropped to the ninth position with 35 games lost.
