Regular Season Round 34: Chalons-Reims - Denain 86-65

Very predictable result when third ranked Chalons-Reims (23-11) rolled over at home 14th ranked Denain Voltaire (13-21) 86-65 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Chalons-Reims. Denain Voltaire was better in fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Denain Voltaire outrebounded Chalons-Reims 42-28 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists. Kevin Joss-Rauze (189-88, agency: Court Side) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Chalons-Reims players scored in double figures. Chalons-Reims had such big advantage that coach Nikola Antic felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 10 players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Marcus Kitts (205-89, college: William & Mary) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 23 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Denain Voltaire. Chalons-Reims have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 23-11 record having just three points less than leader Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Loser Denain Voltaire keeps the fourteenth place with 21 games lost.
