Bottom-ranked Tijuana Zonkeys managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of four consecutive loses on Tuesday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked Frayles de Guasave 89-76. The game without a history. Tijuana Zonkeys led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Frayles de Guasave's players. Point guard Elvis Medina (183-84, college: Arizona W. CC) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists for the winning side and American swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) accounted for 22 points and 7 assists. American forward Eric Frederick (203-88, college: Texas Wesleyan) came up with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Jesus Leyva added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Frayles de Guasave in the defeat. Five Tijuana Zonkeys and four Frayles de Guasave players scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys (6-9) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Obregon. Frayles de Guasave lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Los Mochis. Tijuana Zonkeys will again meet at home Frayles de Guasave (#8) in the next round. Frayles de Guasave will have a break next round.
