Second Stage Round 4: Hapoel T-A - Elizur Ashkelon 82-49
Date: May 2, 2013
Rather predictable result when second ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (13-13) rolled over at home 6th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (6-20) 82-49. The game without a history. Hapoel Tel-Aviv led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ironi Ashkelon to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters. Hapoel Tel-Aviv dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Ironi Ashkelon's 26. Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach Erez Edelshtein felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American swingman Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Gur Porat (197-79) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds.
