The game was mostly controlled by EWE Baskets. Telekom Baskets managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Telekom Baskets 48-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri, agency: Pro One Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Julius Jenkins (187-81, college: Georgia South, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. EWE Baskets' coach Sebastian Machowski used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Jamel McLean (203-88, college: Xavier) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) added 20 points in the effort for Telekom Baskets.
