Ninth-ranked Juvecaserta (13-17) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Trenkwalder RE (18-12) in Caserta on Sunday. The visitors from Reggio Emilia managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 17-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. International point guard Andrea Cinciarini (190-86) scored 19 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Donnel Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Trenkwalder RE's coach Massimiliano Menetti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: Beo Basket) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds and the former international Marco Mordente (192-79) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Four Juvecaserta players scored in double figures. Trenkwalder RE moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Montepaschi. Juvecaserta lost third consecutive game.
