CIBACOPA top team - Rayos de Hermosillo (15-4) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Frayles de Guasave (7-12) 93-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Frayles de Guasave. The game without a history. Rayos de Hermosillo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.1 percent from the field. Rayos de Hermosillo outrebounded Frayles de Guasave 42-21 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Frayles de Guasave's players. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Jesus Lopez (205-83, college: SW Baptist) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Jorge Camacho (203-89, college: E.Kentucky) chipped in 16 points. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach Dan Tacheny allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
