The game was mostly controlled by EWE Baskets. Telekom Baskets was better in second period 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Dutch forward Robin Smeulders (207-87, college: Portland, agency: Court Side) helped adding 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jared Jordan (188-84, college: Marist, agency: Pro One Sports) with 15 points and 4 assists and Lithuanian guard Benas Veikalas (192-83, college: Metro St.) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
