A very interesting game took place in Guasave. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (8-17) to seventh ranked Frayles de Guasave (9-16) 97-96 on Tuesday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon won fourth quarter 31-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Frayles de Guasave players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Eric Frederick (203-88, college: Texas Wesleyan) nailed 30 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Pedro Meza Rogel (186-85, college: Arizona W. CC) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists. American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St., agency: Dream Team Management) came up with 32 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import forward Leroy Davis (200-81, college: Georgia St.) added 20 points and 7 assists respectively for Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Frayles de Guasave maintains seventh place with 9-16 record, which they share with Los Mochis. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost.
