We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (12-17) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Frayles de Guasave (10-17) 99-91 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 51-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Steffphon Pettigrew (195-89, college: W.Kentucky) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Eugene Phelps (198, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Jesus Gonzalez (195-86) produced 27 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: Dream Team Management) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side.
