Galatasaray trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 38-21 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 85-86 at the end of the game. Banvit BK made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American-Azerbaijani center Charles Davis (205-84, college: Alabama) fired 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Keith Simmons (196-85, college: Holy Cross, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points. Banvit BK's coach Orhun Ene used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Jamont Gordon (193-87, college: Mississippi St.) produced 34 points (!!!) and naturalized American power forward Ersin Dagli (203-81, college: Alabama, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for lost side.
