Regular Season Round 9: Hebei S. - Heilongjiang 84-91

Bottom-ranked Hebei S. is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to seventh ranked Heilongjiang (4-5) 91-84. It looked good early as Hebei S. took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Heilongjiang had a 23-15 second period charge getting the lead and Hebei S. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 84-91. American forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-83, college: Nevada) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and point guard XueLin Yu (186-85) chipped in 24 points. The best for the losing side was Australian forward Tom Burns (201-84, college: USF) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard YuNan Chen (190-80) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hebei S.'s coach Zhijang Di tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Heilongjiang have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 4-5 record. Hebei S. at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Heilongjiang will play against league's second-placed Hong Kong at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hebei S. will play against Sichuan BW (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
