The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Chongqing FD (14-4) in Guangdong on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Changsha Bank (13-5) 90-80. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Chongqing FD. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Changsha Bank. Chongqing FD managed to win second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Chongqing FD 41-30 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 23 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jian Sun (190-88) chipped in 26 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and point guard XueSong Li (190-91) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Changsha Bank and five Chongqing FD players scored in double figures. Changsha Bank moved-up to second place, which they share with Jiangsu TX. Chongqing FD at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost.
