Regular Season Round 4: Palmeiras - Limeira 72-58

There was a minor upset in Sao Paulo where higher ranked Winner/Limeira (2-2) was defeated by ninth ranked Palmeiras (2-2) 72-58 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mudo dos Santos (194-77) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Tyrone Curnell (203-88, college: Valdosta St.) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Palmeiras players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Bruno Fiorotto (208-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Guilherme Teichmann (204-83, college: Tulsa) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Palmeiras moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Winner/Limeira. Palmeiras will face Pinheiros (#10) in Sao Paolo in the next round where they are favorite. Winner/Limeira will play on the road against Mogi (#4) in Mogi das Cruzes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
