Pinheiros has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Jacarei (0-4) 105-63 on Saturday. They outrebounded Jacarei 42-28 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pinheiros looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Jacarei's players. American power forward Steven Toyloy (203-87, college: Cincinnati) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized Italian point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field).
