Another exciting game was played in Manila between leader Global Port and bottom-ranked Air21 Express where Global Port (1-0) beat Air21 Express (0-1) on the road 101-94. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Global Port forced 19 Air21 Express turnovers. Air21 Express were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American center Jay Washington (206-81, college: Eckerd) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and forward Nino Canaleta (196-82) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Air21 Express. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Despite that victory Global Port went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with 3 other teams.
