Everything could happen in Sao Paolo at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Paulistano and 5th ranked Palmeiras had identical 7-3 record. This time Paulistano used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sao Paulo 88-79. Paulistano made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) orchestrated the victory by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Guard Desmond Holloway (190-88, college: Co.Carolina) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners.
