Bottom-ranked Jacarei is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to third ranked Paulistano (12-4) 86-75. Paulistano outrebounded Jacarei 37-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Jacarei was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Desmond Holloway (190-90, college: Co.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) who added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. At the losing side Vinicius Oliveira (200-90) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Julio Toledo (194-85) scored 11 points. Paulistano maintains third position with 12-4 record behind leader Bauru. Jacarei at the other side still closes the standings. Paulistano will play against Winner/Limeira (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jacarei will play against Palmeiras in Sao Paulo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
