There was no surprise in Sorocabana where 10th ranked Winner/Limeira (5-13) was defeated by seventh ranked Liga Sorocaba (10-8) 80-72 on Saturday. Liga Sorocaba dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Winner/Limeira's 28. Winner/Limeira was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Nafis Ricks (188-87, college: Missouri St.) who scored 17 points and 5 assists. point guard Tatu Romualdo (185-83) chipped in 15 points.
