Date: September 28, 2013
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both leader Quimper UJAP and bottom-ranked Monaco had identical 0-0 record. This time Quimper UJAP used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Monaco 84-83 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Quite impressive performance for American power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Fabien Herard (198-79) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. American-Nigerian forward Derrick Obasohan (200-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian Dusan Kecman (198-77, agency: Beo Basket) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Monaco. Monaco's coach Savo Vucevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Quimper UJAP went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with 8 other teams. Loser Monaco still closes the standings with one game lost. Quimper UJAP will face Cognac BB (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Monaco will play against La Rochelle.
