The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Boulazac Basket's (2-1) road victory over 11th ranked Orchesien BC (1-3) in Orchies 64-61 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 34-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American swingman Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import power forward David Monds (205-83, college: Oklahoma St.) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Court Side) replied with 14 points and 6 assists and forward Renaud Brocheray (201-80) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Orchesien BC. Orchesien BC's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Boulazac Basket moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Orchesien BC dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. Boulazac Basket will face Poitiers (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Orchesien BC will play against the league's leader SO Maritime Boulogne in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
