We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Winner/Limeira (6-14) smashed on the road 9th ranked XV/Raizen (6-14) 92-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Winner/Limeira. XV/Raizen managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded XV/Raizen 35-20 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Winner/Limeira shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. XV/Raizen's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Winner/Limeira moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated XV/Raizen. XV/Raizen lost fourth consecutive game. Winner/Limeira will meet at home higher ranked Palmeiras (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. XV/Raizen will have a break next round.
