Regular Season Round 3: Rapla - Tln Kalev 73-75

The most exciting game of round 3 in the Alexela KML took place in Rapla. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Rapla (1-2) to seventh ranked Tln Kalev (1-1) 75-73 on Saturday evening. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Rapla won third quarter 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tln Kalev forced 24 Rapla turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Rapla helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Forward Illimar Pilk (195-88) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Slovenian center Ziga Fifolt (211-93) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Martin Paasoja (191-93) added 19 points in the effort for Rapla. Tln Kalev left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Valga. Rapla at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Parnu. Tln Kalev is looking forward to face KK Parnu (#7) at home in the next round. Rapla will have a break next round.
