Orongo Dragons has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Solna, where they defeated Solna Branten (0-2) 72-58. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Orongo Dragons's pressure prevailed and they won that period 17-8 extending their advantage to 14 points. Orongo Dragons outrebounded Solna Branten 48-33 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for forward Marcus Elfving (196-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots). point guard Oskar Granat (181-95) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Orongo Dragons' coach Adam Alexander used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Daniel Johansson (200-95) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Henrik Jadersten (208-95) added 7 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Solna Branten. Orongo Dragons (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Fryshuset. Solna Branten at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost.
