Regular Season Round 2: Solna - Sodertalje 78-92

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Solna Vikings (1-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Sodertalje Kings (2-0) 92-78. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Solna Vikings managed to win fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Mantas Griskenas (200-85, college: Wichita St.) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Sodertalje Kings' coach Vedran Bosnic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Taj McCullough (201-86, college: Winthrop) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: FCM) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sodertalje Kings is looking forward to face Eco Orebro at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Solna Vikings will play against Sundsvall Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
