Regular Season Round 2: Norrkoping - LF Basket 84-78
Date: October 8, 2013
There was no surprise when LF Basket (0-2) was defeated on the road by Norrkoping Dolphins (2-0) 84-78. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 32-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. Norrkoping Dolphins players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Czech center Jan Tomanec (205-85) notched 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Walker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international swingman Christopher Ryan (196-90) did not help to save the game for LF Basket. The former international center Johan Akesson (210-84, agency: Warren Sports International) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins will have a break next round. LF Basket will play at home against Nassjo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
