Regular Season Round 3: Vichy - Montbrison 79-55

There was no surprise when Montbrison (0-3) was outleveled on the road by JA Vichy (2-1) 79-55 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 50-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. JA Vichy forced 24 Montbrison turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Benjamin Thomas (181-82) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 assists. Power forward Gregory Lessort (197-85) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Regis Aubry (199-82) came up with 8 points and 11 rebounds and center Geoffrey Renon (208-91) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Montbrison in the defeat. Montbrison's coach Marc Berjoan gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. JA Vichy will meet UB Chartres on the road in the next round. Montbrison will play against JSA Bordeaux and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
