We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Jyvaskyla where HoNsU (1-1) was defeated by Aanekosken (1-1) 71-63. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 16-8 HoNsU's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 71-63 at the end of the game. Aanekosken forced 20 HoNsU turnovers. American center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The other American import swingman Lonniya Bragg (182-79, college: Arkansas) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Nikki Speed (173-90, college: Rutgers) replied with 13 points and 7 assists and the former international forward Minna Sten (190-87) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for HoNsU. Four HoNsU players scored in double figures. Aanekosken will have a break next round. HoNsU will play on the road against TuRi in Turku and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
