Very expected game when SMS PZKosz (0-2) was smashed by Nowa Sol (2-0) in Wladyslawowo 94-43 on Saturday. The game without a history. Nowa Sol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to SMS PZKosz's 28. Nowa Sol forced 24 SMS PZKosz turnovers and outrebounded them 36-20 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. SMS PZKosz was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Rafal Rajewicz (205-88, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Marcin Chodkiewicz (200-82, agency: Promotex) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Nowa Sol players scored in double figures. Robert Kowalczyk (202-95) replied with 13 points and point guard Adrian Krawczyk (186-95) added 7 points in the effort for SMS PZKosz. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nowa Sol will face AZS UMK Torun at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SMS PZKosz will play against Kalisz (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
