Regular Season Round 3: Stal Ostrow - Znicz Basket 78-64

There was a surprise result when Stal Ostrow (1-2) beat Znicz Basket (1-2) in Ostrow Wlkp. 78-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Stal Ostrow. Znicz Basket managed to win second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stal Ostrow had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Tomasz Ochonko (184-86, agency: Promotex) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Stal Ostrow players scored in double figures. Power forward Rafal Kulikowski (205-85, agency: Promotex) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Michal Aleksandrowicz (192-89) added 10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for Znicz Basket in the defeat. Stal Ostrow will meet AZS PP (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Znicz Basket will play against Start Lublin (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
