Regular Season Round 1: Alkar Sinj - Djuro Djakovic 81-54

Alkar Sinj used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Slavonski Brod 81-54 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Alkar Sinj led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Djuro Djakovic to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Alkar Sinj dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Djuro Djakovic's 18. They outrebounded Djuro Djakovic 44-27 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Djuro Djakovic was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Ivan Mikulic (191-91) fired 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Luka Zitko (201-81) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Five Alkar Sinj players scored in double figures. Alkar Sinj's coach Damir Milacic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Goran Fodor (195-90) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Nikola Blazevic (190-91) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Alkar Sinj will face Vrijednosnice OS in Darda in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Djuro Djakovic will play at home against Krizevci.
