But Yokohama BC was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Nagano 86-79 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-79. It was a good game for American forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Shota Konno (184-85) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Shinshu BW's coach Ryuji Kawai used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield, agency: Norton Sports Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Marquise Gray (206-86, college: Michigan St.) added 12 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Yokohama BC. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Yokohama BC will play again at home against Shinshu BW (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
