CB Canarias used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Santoago de Comp 76-74 on Saturday night. Blusens Monbus trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 25-13 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 74-76 at the end of the game. CB Canarias made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Blusens Monbus turnovers. It was a great shooting night for CB Canarias especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Blusens Monbus was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international swingman Saul Blanco (196-85) chipped in 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CB Canarias will face CAI Zaragoza on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Blusens Monbus will play against La Bruixa d'Or.
