Regular Season Round 4: Monaco - St Chamond 87-77

Monaco has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive loses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Saint Chamond (3-1) 87-77. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. Saint Chamond was better in third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Monaco players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a very good performance for American-Nigerian forward Derrick Obasohan (200-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Center Jonathan Tornato (210-89) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (203-88) added 17 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Saint Chamond. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monaco maintains thirteenth position with 1-2 record. Saint Chamond at the other side keeps the fourth place with one game lost. Monaco's next round opponent will be higher ranked ADA Blois (#7) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Saint Chamond will play against Cognac BB.
