Regular Season Round 1: Slask Wroclaw - Anwil 61-73

Date: October 12, 2013
Another interesting game for Anwil (1-0) which played on the court of Slask Wroclaw (0-1). Anwil had an easy win 73-61. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. Slask Wroclaw was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Slask Wroclaw to just 6 points in first quarter. American-Puerto Rican guard Paul Graham (192-85, college: Florida Atlantic, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and naturalized Bosnian power forward Seid Hajric (203-83) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Dominique Johnson (192-87, college: Azusa Pacific) responded with 19 points and 5 steals and the former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Slask Wroclaw's coach Tomasz Jankowski tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Anwil will play against Asseco in Gdynia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slask Wroclaw will play on the road against Stabill Jezioro (#12) in Tarnobrzeg to get more than just one victory in their record.
