Regular Season Round 3: M.Hainaut - Brussels 85-81
Date: October 12, 2013
Very important is a road loss of Brussels Basketball (2-1) against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (2-0) on Saturday night. Visiting Brussels Basketball was defeated by Belfius Mons-Hainaut in a tough game in Quaregnon 81-85. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Brussels Basketball won third quarter 25-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Robert Vaden (196-85, college: UAB) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Jason Love (206-87, college: Xavier) accounted for 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side. American swingman Colt Ryan (196-90, college: Evansville) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Aleksander Lichodzijewski (202-84) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Brussels Basketball in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play against Liege Basket (#7) in Liege in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
