We should not miss the game where Maccabi Rishon (1-0) against Ironi Nes-Ziona (0-1) where Maccabi Rishon won on the road by nine points 86-77. It looked good early as Ironi Nes-Ziona took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Maccabi Rishon had a 28-8 second period charge getting the lead and Ironi Nes-Ziona was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-86. Shawn Dawson (193-93) nailed 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Dror Hagag (178-78, agency: Avi Zilberman) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists. American forward Tyler Honeycutt (203-90, college: UCLA) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Welsh forward Tal Michael Dunne (197-87) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Ironi Nes-Ziona in the defeat. Five Maccabi Rishon and four Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. Maccabi Rishon's next round opponent will be Galil Gilboa (#9) in Rosh Pina and are hoping to win another game. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play on the road against Hapoel Holon.
