Regular Season Round 4: Kyoto Hannar. - Takamatsu FA 79-62

Rather predictable result when top-ranked Kyoto Hannar. (2-0) defeated at home 8th ranked Takamatsu FA (1-3) 79-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Takamatsu FA was better in fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kyoto Hannar. made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Kyoto Hannar. outrebounded Takamatsu FA 41-27 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) who added 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Andrais Thornton (203-85, college: NW Missouri St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyoto Hannar. moved-up to third place, which they share with Osaka Evessa and Toyama Grouses. Loser Takamatsu FA dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face Shimane Magic (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
