Regular Season Round 1: Asseco - AZS Koszalin 77-65

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of AZS Koszalin (0-1) in Gdynia on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Asseco (1-0) 77-65. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Koszalin's 30. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 steals. point guard Sebastian Kowalczyk (188-93) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) added 11 points in the effort for AZS Koszalin. Four AZS Koszalin players scored in double figures. AZS Koszalin's coach Zoran Sretenovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Asseco is looking forward to face Anwil in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AZS Koszalin will play at home against PGE Turow (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
