There was a minor upset when Roseto (1-1) lost on the road to Lucca (1-1) 85-76 on Sunday. Point guard Davide Parente (188-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Power forward Diego Banti (204-83) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Lucca's coach Roberto Russo used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Roseto. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lucca will face Ravenna (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Roseto will play against Bari.
