An interesting game was also home loss of Air Avellino in a game versus undefeated VL Pesaro 80-77. Air Avellino was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Air Avellino was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 20-12 charge of VL Pesaro, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Elston Turner (196-90, college: Texas A&M) nailed 18 points for the winning side and naturalized Argentinian guard Bernardo Musso (193-86) accounted for 16 points. American-Qatari swingman Jarvis Hayes (201-81, college: Georgia) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Air Avellino in the defeat. Four VL Pesaro and five Air Avellino players scored in double figures. VL Pesaro will meet at home Juvecaserta (#5) in the next round. Air Avellino will play against Tuscany Pistoia (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
