Not a big story in a game in Mikawa where 6th ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (1-3) was defeated by fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (3-1) 82-74 on Sunday. Hamamatsu Phoenix was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) who added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Aki Chambers (190-90, college: Cal Merced) scored 21 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shiga L-Stars keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Hamamatsu Phoenix dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face league's second-placed Okinawa GK at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hamamatsu Phoenix will play against the league's leader Fukuoka Rizing (#1).
