Regular Season Round 6: Akropol - LF Future 62-84
Date: October 13, 2013
Bottom-ranked Akropol is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to tenth ranked LF Future (2-2) 84-62. The game was mostly controlled by LF Future. Akropol was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Erik Edin (185-91) who scored 30 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Forward Jonathan Larsson (190-91) chipped in 9 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Greek forward Athanasios Kalpakas (198-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-95) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. LF Future moved-up to seventh place. Akropol at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. LF Future will have a break next round. Akropol will play on the road against Taby Basket (#3) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
