Regular Season Round 4: Fukuoka Rizing - Shimane SM 81-77

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fukuoka Rizing as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fukuoka Rizing defeated bottom-ranked Shimane Magic at home 81-77. Shimane Magic trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 29 after three quarters before a 37-12 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 77-81 at the end of the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Michael Dale (197-84, college: S.Illinois, agency: Blacktop Management) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Dale is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and center Jeral Davis (216-84) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Shimane Magic at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Bambitious Nara. Shimane Magic will play next round against strong Kyoto Hannar. trying to get back on the winning streak. Fukuoka Rizing will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix in Mikawa.
