Important game to mention about took place in Tel-Aviv. Hapoel Tel-Aviv (1-0) saved a 1-point victory at home edging Bnei Hasharon (0-1) 76-75 on Monday evening. Bnei Hasharon was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 19-17 charge of Hapoel Tel-Aviv, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Bnei Hasharon turnovers. Strangely Bnei Hasharon outrebounded Hapoel Tel-Aviv 43-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) fired 21 points for the winners. Naturalized Swedish power forward Jonathan Skjoldebrand (204-83) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV, agency: Two Points) produced 24 points and 6 rebounds and Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-84, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will face Hapoel Eilat on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Jerusalem (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
