The game in Banska Bystrica was also quite interesting. 4th ranked Prievidza (2-2) played at the court of sixth ranked SKP Banska Bystrica (2-3). SKP Banska Bystrica did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-70 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by SKP Banska Bystrica. Prievidza managed to win second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SKP Banska Bystrica forced 19 Prievidza turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Richard Grznar (189-91) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists and Serbian center Milojko Vasilic (207-89) who added 14 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side British swingman Paul Guede (195-87, college: Portland St., agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Croatian swingman Marko Batina (198-86) scored 15 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory SKP Banska Bystrica went down to seventh position due to points difference. Loser Prievidza keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Handlova and Rieker KN. SKP Banska Bystrica will meet league's leader Nitra in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Prievidza will play against Inter Bratislava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
